The AN/IR-360"M"
is a mobile/marine camera for on the move infrared surveillance and
pursuit. The AN/IR-360"M" can be mounted on a marine vessel or on a
land based vehicle. The 360 "M" system is designed to be compatible
with both commercial or military vessels and vehicles.
The system is
designed to withstand the shock and vibration of on or off road driving.
The camera and pan+tilt assembly are mounted in double "O"
ring heated enclosures for reliable operation in the harshest environments.
The 360 "M" has been tested to withstand and function in Ice
Storms, Wind/Dust Storms, Snow, Rain, Extreme Temperature (high and
low), and in environments with a high level of salt and/or humidity.
Its primary input voltage is 24 volt or 12 volt making it easily adaptable
to the widest array of Commercial and Military mobile power systems.
This unit is
generally operated with a hand remote controller. The controls of the
360 "M" allow for rapid pin point target acquisition. The
advanced pan+tilt subsystem can be rotated at a rate of 0° - 100°/second
with variable speed control. The 360 "M" incorporates anti-backlash
technology for smooth performance during mobile missions on land or
sea. The 360 "M" is designed so that the system can be operated
by personnel wearing Mission Oriented Protective Posture (MOPP) IV gear,
standard issued helmet, and Arctic mittens.
The 300 "M"
is specified to be a COTS product and adheres to all the provisions
of the COTS specification within limitations of non COTS components
specified in the BISS-IMG-27551A (7 July, 1998) with the exception of
interconnect cabling, software, and some minor circuitry related to
the non-COTS specification incorporating the ICD-TASS-001-REVIddt.5MAY1999
a non-COTS specification. The AN/IR-360 "M" is available to
military and civilian customers as a severe environment mobile thermal
infrared imaging system.
